Position: Principal Technical Program Manager
Job Location: 640 W. California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086
Duties: Responsible for roadmap development, program planning, and driving the implementation of Cloud Infrastructure and workload migration program efforts that utilize cloud infra solutions and information technology principles. Adhere to industry compliance standards and workload migration best practices for scalable eCommerce Platform. Responsible for technical strategy planning and executing Wal-Mart's stateless and stateful workload migrations between Public and Private Multi-Cloud across multiple regions. Lead strategy to build migration portfolios, annual roadmaps, and resource forecasting. Lead quarterly prioritization sessions and drive planning activities with executive leadership across Product, Engineering, and Business teams. Define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for each cross functional program. Actively participate and develop the technical Cloud Infrastructure Modernization Strategy in collaboration with business, technical product teams, cross-functional enterprise solution architects, and engineering teams to elevate Wal-Mart's customer experience and have a direct business impact. Analyze, build, and present Key Business Performance Indicator metrics for multi-cloud infrastructure workload migration programs to senior and executive leaders at Wal-Mart. Review, recommend, and evangelize Program Management best practices and establish processes that will impact multi-cloud migrations for Wal-Mart's Global Technology Platform (GTP) Central Program Management Office Organization (PMO). This position does not supervise employees.
Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (any), or related field and 4 years of experience in engineering, engineering program management, technical program management, product management, or related area; OR Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (any), or related field and 6 years of experience in engineering, engineering program management, technical program management, product management, or related area.
Skills required: Experience planning and executing complex, large scale, Cloud based software and infrastructure programs. Experience with Cloud migrations, multitenancy architecture framework, and cloud based and cloud native application design principles. Experience with Continuous Integration and Deployment related to Cloud release systems and processes. Experience with SaaS (Software as a Service), PaaS (Platform as a Service), and IaaS (Infrastructure as a Services) design frameworks and implementations. Experience with scalable and elastic cloud capacity planning, storage (block, file, object), and networking architecture design, including VCN, VPN, Clusters, cloud regions, and availability domains. Experience with consensus building, risk identification, planning, and mitigation, and change management planning for cloud-based applications. Experience defining and reviewing program strategy, program roadmaps, and program implementation progress. Experience with Agile/SCRUM based program execution and organization wide change management. Experience with requirements elicitation, gap analysis, use case diagramming, mind-mapping, process flow diagramming, and data driven business modeling techniques. Experience coaching Program Managers with planning program strategy, defining Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), conflict management, and resource planning. Experience with Technical Program Management and industry best practices, principals, and processes. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.
Salary Range: $197,829/year to $286,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.? Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
