Solugenix is assisting a client in their search for a Vice President of Sales & Marketing. This is a direct hire opportunity.
The Vice President of Sales and Marketing will oversee and direct the activities of two distinct sales organizations representing the client’s brands. This role requires a dynamic leader with a proven track record in sales and marketing management, who can strategically drive growth, develop effective sales approaches, and manage distribution networks for both brands.
The VP of Sales and Marketing will also oversee the product marketing and marketing communications departments, ensuring cohesive and effective brand messaging and market presence.
The Vice President of Sales and Marketing plays a crucial role in developing and executing strategic initiatives to drive sales growth, expand market share, and enhance brand awareness. This executive-level position requires strong leadership, strategic vision, and expertise in sales and marketing management to achieve organizational objectives and drive revenue generation.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in sales and marketing leadership roles, preferably in the industrial automation market.
- Proven track record of driving sales growth, market expansion, and brand development in competitive markets.
- Strong leadership, team building, and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve ambitious goals.
- Strategic thinker with analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of identifying trends, opportunities, and risks in dynamic market environments.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and build strong business relationships.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, marketing automation platforms, and digital marketing tools.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment, with a focus on innovation, continuous improvement, and customer-centricity.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive sales and marketing strategies, organizations and processes aligned with the company's overall objectives and growth targets.
- Sales Leadership: Lead and mentor the sales team to achieve sales targets, optimize performance, and maximize revenue across all channels and market segments.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer insights to identify emerging trends, market opportunities, and customer needs.
- Product and Brand Management: Oversee product development, pricing strategies, and brand positioning to drive product differentiation and enhance market competitiveness.
- Customer Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders to foster loyalty, trust, and long-term partnerships.
- Marketing Communications: Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns, advertising initiatives, and promotional activities to enhance brand visibility and generate leads.
- Digital Marketing: Drive digital marketing strategies, including SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing, and content marketing, to engage target audiences and drive inbound traffic.
- Sales Enablement: Provide sales teams with the necessary tools, training, and support to effectively engage prospects, overcome objections, and close deals.
- Performance Metrics and Analysis: Establish KPIs, metrics, and reporting mechanisms to track sales performance, marketing ROI, and campaign effectiveness.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage sales and marketing budgets, allocate resources effectively, and optimize spending to achieve desired outcomes.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, operations, finance, and customer service, to align sales and marketing efforts with overall business objectives.
- Market Expansion: Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, geographic regions, and distribution channels to drive business expansion and revenue diversification.
Annual Base Salary Range for CA, CO, IL, NJ, NY, WA, and DC: $250,000 to $250,000. Actual compensation offered may vary depending on factors including but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
