As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) within our esteemed organization, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care. Responsibilities:
• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses or physicians.
Administer medications, take vital signs, dress wounds, and assist with various medical procedures.
• Responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records. This includes recording patient information, updating medical histories, and documenting the care provided.
• Communicate with patients, their families, and other healthcare team members. Effective communication is crucial for relaying important information, educating patients about their conditions, and coordinating care.
• Provide educational support to patients and their families, offering guidance on managing health conditions, medications, and lifestyle changes.
Bilingual Spanish preferred or knowledge of any second language a plus.
Shift:
Monday – Friday 9:30a-6:00p
Saturdays is part of the work schedule on a rotation basis.
Required:
• NY LPN License & Registration
• BLS Card
• Infection Control Certificate
• High School/GED minimum

Associates are eligible to apply for a lateral transfer after completion of one (1) year of service in their present position, with the following exception: an Associate who has received a written warning is not eligible for a transfer/promotion prior to six (6) months from date of issuance; an Associate who has been suspended is not eligible for transfer/promotion prior to one (1) year from date of suspension. Part-time Associates who have completed their probationary period can move to full-time vacancies within their department provided such movement will not unreasonably reduce the operational efficiency of that department. Probationary period is three (3) months for full-time employees, and four (4) months for part-time employees who works more than 3/5 of the normal workweek.
