Job Abstract

Do you have passion for youth sports and recreation! The City of Carson is seeking volunteers who can support our seasonal youth sports. Volunteers are needed for coaching and various other activities.

The City does not offer any form of compensation for volunteering (current hourly rate is $0.00).

Duties varies depending on the volunteer assignment.

Minimum qualifications vary by assignment. Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age. Some assignments may require the possession of an appropriate valid California Driver License, and successfully pass a background check (Live Scan)

Working conditions vary by assignment and location. In general, the volunteer work environment is limited to the office and the recreational work environments. Volunteer roles often include interacting with the general public, in both indoor and outdoor work environments.

Volunteer Recruitment Process:

Community Services/Parks & Recreation supervisors will evaluate incoming volunteer applications. If selected, the volunteer will complete the required background check process (Live Scan fingerprints).

Volunteer assignments are not compensated and are not eligible for benefits. Volunteering does not guarantee and/or warrant a future offer of employment with the City of Carson.
