The Elliott School seeks a dynamic and motivated individual to serve as Program Coordinator, Graduate Academic Programs, to support our Master’s programs in Global Communications, International Development Studies, and International Economic Policy. The Program Coordinator reports to the Supervisor, Academic Programs. The Academic Programs team engages with current and prospective students, builds collegial relationships with internal team members, and works closely with faculty, directors, and staff throughout ESIA and key university offices. The Program Coordinators collaborate, cross-train, and support each other’s programs as needed.
This role will serve as a point of contact for the assigned programs, will answer typical program questions, and will assist the program faculty with a variety of functional and administrative support. Typical duties often are administrative in nature including tasks that are routine, and under the general supervision of more senior personnel within the department, or program.
Key responsibilities include: - Assists in planning and scheduling of courses in coordination with program directors, full-time and part-time faculty.
- Serves as a primary point of contact and counsels current, incoming, and prospective students based on knowledge of the assigned academic programs.
- Refers inquiries to the responsible offices; including Admissions, Alumni Affairs, Graduate Advising, Career Services, etc.
- Provides day-to-day administrative and operational support, including preparation of program reports and assessments, processing payments and tracking expenditures/reimbursements.
- Assists in creating, organizing, and promoting student-focused programming, meetings, and conferences.
- Monitors webpages and bulletin pages to ensure all information is current and correct, and communicates updates with the responsible offices.
- Assists with communication and outreach; including social media campaigns and newsletters.
Performs other related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.
This is a hybrid position with some days in-person and some days remote.
