The Opportunity
Join Glanbia and help implement, optimize, and create Procurement value by driving collaborative and forward-thinking strategic projects. This role will support our global procurement team on various projects and tasks that standardize and/or transform business processes in the organization. This permanent position will report to the Procurement Business Process Manager and duties include but are not limited to the following;
- Closely follow the strategic direction set by Procurement management when establishing near-term goals.
- Global Procurement lead for our supplier sustainability platform.
- Drive Procurement efficiencies utilizing SAP Ariba and SAP ERP tools optimizing value creation of Glanbia Procurement Operations and Category Management.
- Management of our Procurement Supplier Contract database as well as troubleshooting for our internal and external customers.
- Support with Supplier Management, inclusive of our ESG/ Sustainability policy compliance.
- Advance reporting to support business requirements & growth through the use of emerging technologies.
- Administrate strategic sourcing events and template utilizing various sourcing tools (Ariba, Keelvar).
- Manage and prioritize a high-volume of information.
- Partner closely with the broader leadership team, key stakeholders, and other IT and Glanbia teammates to help the Procurement department grow quickly, accomplish its goals, and ensure GN Procurement remains an exception department team.
? ?The Skills you will bring to the team
- University degree in related field preferred; equivalent experience in lieu of education may be considered.
- Minimum 5 years in business process transformation related to P2P, SRM and Supply Chain utilizing Ariba, and SAP ERP; university degree and/or procurement certification can substitute for some work experience.
- Experience with and solid understanding of SAP Ariba and SAP ERP/MRP systems with the ability and desire to work within and progress such systems.
- Heavy Data analysis including MS Excel pivot tables, formulas, and spreadsheets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
- Analytical with superior problem-solving skills over near and long-term planning horizons.
- Must be able to work flexible hours to include overtime and weekends if needed.
- Strong business understanding and orientation, and effectively handles multiple, rapidly changing, and conflicting priorities.
- Must have demonstrably strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal), to include speaking clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations.
- Ability to effectively interact with all levels of personnel with the utmost professionalism.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision while always remaining productive. Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments.
- Aptitude for learning new technology and a curiosity in finding a better way.
- E-Tender, SharePoint and Business Objects experience also preferred
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
