The Auditor-Controller/Treasurer/Tax Collector's (ATC) office is seeking an Investment Analyst to compile and analyze financial data and prepare reports on companies for periodic review of financial performance, then presents findings and makes recommendations to investment management staff. Assesses credit condition of companies and monitors and analyzes market and economic data all in support of the County's Portfolio and Cash Management Program. 3% Annual Across the Board Salary Increase on February 2025**
Bi-annual step increases of 2.5% up to Step 16
As an alternative to the traditional benefits package, you may also be eligible to elect the Modified Benefit Option (MBO) that provides an increased base rate of pay (4% above the base rate of pay) with modified benefits. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
1) Applicant must successfully pass a background check prior to appointment.
2) Travel throughout the County may be required. A valid California Class C driver license is required at time of appointment; employees in this class may be required to use personal vehicles and show proof of automobile liability insurance. Mileage reimbursement is available.

Minimum Requirements
REQUIRED:
EDUCATION
Must possess a completed/awarded Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or closely related field.
EXPERIENCE
Must possess one (1) year of (full-time equivalent) professional-level experience in one of the following: fixed income securities or market analysis; credit analysis of large companies; or portfolio accounting.

EDUCATION

Desired Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a Chartered Financial Analyst designation, related Master's degree, and qualifying experience in a governmental agency.
