The USC Mann Office of Professional Experience Programs is accepting applications for an Academic Program Specialist responsible for the following duties:
- Under the supervision of the Director of Professional Experience Programs, assist with the quality assurance process of practice facilities as required by accreditation standards.
- Travel to various sites throughout California or nationally to meet with preceptors.
- Deliver presentations for preceptor orientation and training during site visits.
- Engage, recruit, retain, network and support preceptors.
- Address and resolve preceptor and student issues.
- Perform preceptor and site evaluations for documentation purposes.
- Monitor and review experiential evaluations on students, preceptors and sites and follow up when necessary.
Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher.
Preferred Field of Expertise: Candidates with experience in a pharmacy, health, or educational related fields of study will receive priority.
Preferred Experience: Candidates with experience in higher education and/or customer service; strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; problem-solving, analytical, and time-management skills; the ability to multitask and pay close attention to details. Additional preferred experiences include using assessment tools and technologies, such as learning management systems, data analytics software, and Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
The hourly rate range for this position is $28.00 - $31.00. Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree. Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education Minimum Experience: 2 years. Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum experience Minimum Field of Expertise: Experience in higher education and/or customer service. Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills for interacting with both domestic and international stakeholders. Demonstrated attention to detail. Proven ability to plan, implement, and coordinate program logistics. Demonstrated database/data entry experience. Proven project management and problem solving skills, able to handle multiple timelines, changing priorities, and fluctuating workloads.
