Overview: We're seeking a skilled Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Nurse Manager for our 30-bed Level III NICU in a leading San Francisco Bay Area hospital. The NICU Nurse Manager will lead the evening shift, ensuring high-quality care for premature and critically ill newborns. This role also supports our Pediatric Unit and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• The NICU Nurse Manager will lead the nursing team, ensuring optimal staffing and a positive work environment
• Collaborate with neonatologists and specialists on neonatal care plans
• Implement evidence-based NICU practices and quality improvement initiatives
• Train and mentor NICU nurses, fostering professional growth
• Manage NICU resources, budgets, and neonatal equipment
• Provide family-centered care, offering neonatal education and support
• Ensure NICU compliance with hospital policies and state regulations
• Support Pediatrics and PICU during off-hours or manager absences

Qualifications:

• BSN required; MSN in Neonatal Nursing preferred
• Active California RN license
• NICU certification (RNC-NIC) preferred
• Expertise in neonatal care practices and technologies
• Strong communication and NICU team leadership skills
• Proficient in neonatal electronic health records
