Selectek is partnering with a company located in San Jose, California to fill an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer role on a temporary basis. This client is seeking an experienced candidate to work on projects in industrial, commercial, and semi-conductor plant environments.
Employment Type: Contract Expected Pay Range: $60-$77 per hour plus bonuses, depending on experience Location: San Jose, CA
Job Requirements: - 5-10 years of experience working in automation and controls design - PLC programming and configuration using ladder logic and sequence of operation - Proficiency in Allen-Bradley and GE/Emerson PLCs - HMI programming and configuration using FactoryTalk or Wonderware - Knowledge of industrial control panel design - Knowledge of P&IDs - Ideal candidates have significant AutoCAD or Revit design experience

Job Details: - Develop functional design specifications and logic narratives - Create system architecture including PLCs, HMIs, and networks for associated servers - Develop solutions and troubleshoot at various stages of the controls system design, build, and commission process - Integrate transmitters for pressure level, temperature, and other “smart” transmissions - Manage project scope, budget, and schedule - Deploy systems at client sites and test/troubleshoot programs to ensure a smooth start-up process - Lead and manage field activities field activities during installation and startup at client sites - Ideal candidates can deliver projects on aggressive timelines while emphasizing safety requirements
Schedule: Monday – Friday, normal work hours.
