Our Team
The role of the analyzer technician is to install, develop, and maintain various pieces of analytical equipment and associated sample systems according to the manufacturer’s specifications with the use of precision testing and measurement equipment to meet the site needs and requirements as they pertain to this type of equipment.
What You Will Do
- Troubleshooting, configuring, teardown/rebuilding of process analyzers such as gas chromatographs, regulatory analyzers monitoring emissions, and apparatus designed to determine chemical or elemental component amounts in a process stream
- Locating and diagnosing the cause of malfunction or failure of process analyzers and performing the necessary preventative or corrective maintenance
- Performing a variety of complex technical duties in support of sampling and optimizing DCS control using on-stream analyzers
- Comparing analysis of field and lab analyzers to check discrepancies and working to resolve differences
- Testing valves and regulators for leaks and accurate temperature and pressure settings using precision testing equipment
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- 3+ years of experience in the maintenance of industrial process analyzers in the petrochemical or refining industry
- Knowledge of the chemical manufacturing process, Distributive Control Systems (DCS) instrumentation and chemistry
- Must have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship
What Will Put You Ahead
- 5+ years of experience in the maintenance of industrial process analyzers in the petrochemical or refining industry
- Associate’s degree in Instrumentation or Process Technology
- Instrument and Electrical craft experience
Physical Requirements
- Lifting requirements of 25 lbs
- Walking distances of up to a mile
- Climbing portable and vessel ladders to elevations over 100 feet
- 80% of work is performed in an outside petrochemical manufacturing environment
- Wear any or all of the following PPE: safety glasses, hearing protection, goggles, hard hats, FRC, acid suits, breathing air, gloves, safety boots, respirators, ACR Flash suits, and encapsulated suits. PPE use is in accordance with the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) for a given task.
This role is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.
This role is subject to a pre-hire physical abilities test.
