THE WORK
Help ensure that Lockheed Martin’s products can be produced and sustained for the life of the product. Join a team of engineers that serve as a hardware and software obsolescence researcher and analyst directly supporting programs across the corporation. This position places an emphasis on identifying and analyzing Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS), components and software on both Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) and products and Lockheed Martin programs. Under guidance from more senior personnel, the successful candidate analyzes technical and obsolescence data and reports potential impacts internal and external customers. The selectee will provide design guidance to engineering for use of preferred parts, materials, and suppliers to minimize impact from obsolescence and Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS). Qualified candidate will be able to review new drawings and designs and propose certain suppliers/ technologies for both COTS electrical and mechanical part selections based on cost, obsolescence forecasts, reliability, quality, and availability. The selectee will lead and support working group meetings to track status and action items regarding obsolescence; measure and track internal metrics to ensure processes and resolutions are being followed and implemented. The selectee will lead DMSMS programs and will be responsible for ensuring the day to day activities for those programs are successfully accomplished.

You are a dynamic and results-oriented professional with a passion for driving operational excellence and optimizing production processes. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are adept at managing complex projects while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Your strong analytical skills, coupled with your ability to communicate effectively and collaborate across departments, make you an invaluable asset to our team. Experience with Design and Development of hardware and software. Knowledge and experience with Consolidated DMSMS Analysis Tools Suite (CDATS). Experience writing Basis of Estimates (BOEs). Familiarity with Radar Architecture Familiarity with Engineering Processes (PR/ECN/CCB) Working knowledge of SAP, COS, P2P, SiliconExpert, IHS, EPDM, and Parts Visibility Experience in DoD Logistics Self-starter, ability to work in a deadline driven environment and close on tasks. Familiarity of commercial computer systems, equipment, software, technologies, system analysis and design. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, ability to research on own and experience as an individual contributor in a team environment. Two years Obsolescence and Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) experience or other related/relevant experience. Demonstrated leadership experience. Ability to present outcomes and findings to engineering and other program teams and actively participate in large audience discussions. Proficiency with Excel
