OVERVIEW:
This role is based in our New Jersey innovation Center. The Associate Scientist Clinical Operations reports directly into the Senior Associate Director of Clinical Affairs, Operations. This entry level office-based position requires that the candidate come to the Florham Park office. This candidate will manage the inventory, labeling, returns and shipping of Clinical Test Materials.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Effectively coordinate and manage clinical supplies for clinical studies;
- Ensure study sites receive supplies and are on time;
- Ensure clinical supplies are properly packaged and labeled;
- Ensure all documentation is accurate and filed in accordance with guidelines;
- Ensure all documentation (Clinical Supplies Files and product specification files) are filed accurately;
- Properly document clinical supplies in the Clinical Study;
- Create Labeling records for Clinical Trial Material;
- Perform all work according to applicable SOP’s and regulatory guidelines;
- Manage relationships with internal (Clinical Operations, Scientific Affairs, Formulation Development, Analytical, Packaging, Project Management and Quality) and external stakeholders (study sites and disposal vendors);
- Be aware of applying QA’s standards;
- Ensure internal collaborators understand Clinical Supply procedures;
- Ensure unused monograph study supplies are properly managed by ensuring all sites return all unused supplies, all study supplies can be accounted for and that returned study supplies have been properly stored or destroyed;
- Ensure supplies in the Clinical Supply Room may be easily accessed and accounted for by ensuring items in the Clinical Supply Room are properly labeled and stored and being accountable for all supplies going in/out of the room.
- Review, write or revise SOPs.
- Review study documents (i.e. ICFs, CRFs, CSRs) as needed.
- Assist with Budget management, as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s or related degree in Life Sciences, Health Sciences or related field. Prefer proven experience in R&D Industry experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and organization skills are a must.
- Experience effectively working in cross-functional teams.
- Team player with the ability to work independently to accomplish objectives within the timelines established.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to learn GMP and ICH requirements.
- Proven ability to have attention to detail.
