Position: Senior Internal Auditor Shift: Dayshift (flexible)Experience: Minimum of five years of internal audit experience or other relevant audit experience. Healthcare organization experience. Previous experience with Epic or other electronic medical record and billing systems. Essential Accountabilities:1. Design appropriate audit test steps and responsible for the timely completion of those test steps in more complex audits of risks and controls in financial, operational and regulatory areas according to the Annual Internal Audit Plan.2. Gains a comprehensive understanding of assigned audit business operations, processes, and business objectives and then utilize that knowledge on assigned audits.3. As needed, work with IT auditors on system wide financial, operational and regulatory audits.4. Prepare process flows for areas audited to identify key risks and associated controls.5. Develop appropriate documentation to support audit work performed in accordance with Internal Audit department and professional standards.6. Produce written work and draft reports that clearly communicate issues and enhancement opportunities while requiring minimal rework and editing.7. Ensure timely execution and completion of assigned audit projects, coordinating the timing and scheduling of audits to achieve completion of the Annual Audit Plan.8. Contribute to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adhere to department policies, procedures, quality standards and safety standards. Ensure compliance with hospital/facility policies and procedures and governmental/accreditation regulations. Education: BS in Business, Accounting or Finance required. Licensures/ Certifications: Professional certification required (CIA, CPA, and/or CFE) or currently pursuing other relevant professional certification.
