Position Summary
Monmouth University is seeking applications for an Assistant Director of Student Engagement for Fraternity and Sorority Life (FSL) in the Student Life Department.
The Assistant Director of Student Engagement for FSL reports to the Director of Student Engagement and works very closely with the Associate Director of Student Engagement for Fraternity and Sorority Life. The Assistant Director along with the Associate Director is responsible for advising and engaging with members of the fraternity and sorority community, which includes organizations representing the National Association of Latino Fraternal Organizations (NALFO), National Interfraternity Council (NIC), National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC), and the National Panhellenic Conference (NPC).
In conjunction with the Associate Director, the Assistant Director of Student Engagement for FSL will create and maintain an infrastructure to support the enhancement of the fraternity/sorority community. The Assistant Director is also responsible for large-scale program planning and implementation of signature events.
This is a live-on-campus position that will also serve in the Office of Residence Life’s on-call duty rotation.
Candidates must display a strong commitment to student learning, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively with colleagues across the University and constituents invested in the fraternal community.
Evening and weekend hours are to be expected.
This is an on-campus, in-person, non-remote position.

Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Counseling or other related field.

Knowledge of community governance and systems of peer accountability.
Knowledge of academic, social, and cultural transitions faced by students during their undergraduate career.
