Maintain ongoing professional development through continued COT certification with requirements within JCAHPO, including participation in ongoing educational opportunities with in the department, state, and national organizations Qualifications EDUCATION High School diploma or equivalent, successful completion of JCAHPO approved program for ophthalmoloc assistance/technicians EXPERIENCE At least one year as an ophthalmic assistant or tech. LICENSURE Certified as an ophthalmic technician, and maintains certification requirements every 3 years SPECIAL SKILLS Ability to communicate effectively with patients and families, providers and members of the healthcare team.
