As a LATAM Barclays Credit Officer Assistant Vice President, you will be accountable for providing effective credit risk management (evaluation of risk and exposure management) of credit risk with Latin America. You will join the risk team, that protect our financial performance and reputation. The team members have advanced technical skills across a broad range of disciplines, tackling issues from economic conditions to financial crime. Salary/ Rate Minimum: $100,000
Salary/ Rate Maximum: $145,000

What will you be doing?
• Maintaining integrity of credit risk function whilst ensuring the team continues to fully support Front Office relationship and sales staff
• Conducting due diligence and writing credit papers for new clients and annual reviews
• Providing hands-on support to the team to ensure the appropriate action is taken to mitigate credit risk where sector difficulties or client specific difficulties are identified
• Actioning on requests from stakeholders across the bank
• Changing in the limits and counterparty credit rating following Credit approval
• Maintaining data integrity of appropriate Credit Risk systems to ensure they reflect the approved sanction
• Approving utilization of sanctioned limits within discretion and resolving credit limit excesses
• Monitoring and actioning on margin call escalations and monitoring compliance with credit terms in trading and legal documents and resolving and escalating breaches
What we’re looking for:
• Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS)
• Two plus years of experience in Financial Institutions credit risk management
• Advanced Spanish and/or Portuguese
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Possess a high degree of self-motivation, the ability to drive for results, and track record of setting and achieving goals and meeting schedules and proactively solving problems
• Possess analytical skills with attention to detail, ability to provide big picture decision making
• Working knowledge of risk metrics including VaR, PFE, and stress testing and knowledge of ISDA and other relevant master agreement documentation and credit terms
• Product knowledge across derivative and financing products and interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and ability to articulate complex concepts and ideas

You will be working at our Americas Headquarters at 745 Seventh Avenue. This 32-story office tower is located in Times Square in the heart of Manhattan and features a cafeteria, fitness center and state-of-the-art LED signage on the facade of the building.
