What’s a typical day as a Quality Control Laboratory Technician? You’ll be: • Conducting quality control testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished goods • Communicating test results in a timely manner, including the release of materials and products • Maintaining a safe and clean working environment, following safety procedures and chemical hygiene rules • Ensuring proper operation and calibration of equipment and instrumentation • Documenting all data and processes according to laboratory procedures • Assisting with sample preparation for sales samples and other laboratory testing • Contributing to team efforts and accomplishing related results as needed • Maintaining confidentiality and customer confidence
This job might be an outstanding fit if you: • Have an Associate’s degree in science or a related field • Have prior experience working in a similar environment • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills • Have proficiency in Microsoft Office • Can multi-task, work independently or within a team, and meet deadlines • Have a strong understanding of chemical composition and properties • Are detail-oriented and have the ability to calculate percentages • Have knowledge of measurement and test equipment
