Essential Functions:
*Drive a school bus or van along designated routes; pick up and discharge students in accordance with established time lines; observe legal and defensive driving practices;assure compliance
with applicable traffic and student transportation laws,codes and regulations.
* Maintain order and discipline among passengers on the bus in accordance with District policies and related to disciplining students;report behavior issues to appropriate personnel;
assure student understanding of transportation rules and safety practices and procedures.
* Conduct required daily safety inspections of buses and vans;
*Perform a range of custodial and lmaintenance duties involved in cleaning and maintaining assigned rooms, equipment, buildings and adjacent areas.
*Perform custodial maintenance work as directed including moving, arranging and setting up furniture and equipment for athletic and special events and meetings.
*Change lights and lighting fixtures.
* Maintain equipment used in the course of work: report any emergency, saftey, health, or fire hazards observed.
* Operate a variety of hand and power equipment and tools, including buffer, wet/dry vaccum cleaners, drills, sanders and other custodial maintenance equipment and tools.
*Transport goods from one location to another as assigned: unload supplies off trucks.
*May be directed to assist in performing routine maintenance duties, including repairing hinges, doors, hose connections, desks and chairs; and performing routine painting, plumbing and other related maintenance tasks using hand and power tools.
*Checks and changes filters. Perform related duties and responsibilites as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS:
Speak so that others may understand at normal levels
See and read printed materials with or without visual aids
Hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone with or without aids
Ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, bend, crouch, stoop, squat, twist, climb.
Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment
May be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
May be required to climb or work on ladders or on a roof.
Physical ability to perform light to moderate manual labor and work in uncomfortable weather contions.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:
* Sweep, scrub, mop, wax and polish floors, vaccum rugs and carpets using cleaning equipment, such as a scrubber , buffer, wet vaccum, and a vaccum cleaner.
* Dust wash and poiish furniture and woodwork.
* Wash windows door glass, walls , sinks and drinking fountains.
* Clean restrooms; fill paper and soap dispensers. Clean white boards as needed or directed. Clean, stack, and store furniture and equipment; perform minor repairs to furniture and equipment.
ENVIRONMENT:
Indoor, oudoor and school bus environment
Daily interaction with students and school staff.
Exposure to unconfortable working conditions and equipment hazards including exposure to hazardous chemicals, extreme weather conditions, heat, noise, air contaminants, fumes or dust, cleaning agents, trash, animal or human waste.
Travel to District sites and locations.
