This position reports to the Quality Manager. The QMS Coordinator is responsible for supporting the plant's QMS and other management systems and provides direct contact with customers, UL and other regulatory agency representatives as required.
The Ideal Candidate will be responsible for the following processes and tasks:
- Ensure the preparation of quality plans, control/testing and reporting of compliance with procedures, standards, and regulations
- Monitoring and reporting on all activities, processes, and procedures
- Performing regular inspections and reviews to ensure employees adhere to quality and safety policies
- Assisting with the development of company policies, processes, and procedures
- Providing departments with quality planning and support
- Preparing and maintaining quality and other management system documentation
- Following customer complaints and internal quality nonconformities (non-conforming product management) and taking corrective and preventive actions with the Quality department
- Review all raw material Certificate of Analysis to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Create and maintain Certified Test Plans per customer requirements
- Coordinate scheduling third party inspections, audits, and equipment calibrations
- Develops and maintains effective working relationships with other departments and with suppliers and customers
- Creation of purchase requisitions for both Quality and HSE
