The ideal candidate will be responsible for the administration and effective operation of our suite of security tools, including Proofpoint, Abnormal, Umbrella, and Sentinel One. The role involves collaborating closely with our Security Operations Center (SOC) and contributing to the development and delivery of user security training programs to ensure a robust security posture across the organization and in partnership with our parent company.

Essential Duties/Accountabilities
Administer, configure, and maintain cybersecurity tools such as Proofpoint, Abnormal, Umbrella, and Sentinel One to protect the organization from cyber threats.
Monitor security systems for anomalies and respond to potential security incidents in coordination with the SOC.
Develop and refine security policies and procedures to ensure that they align with best practices and organizational requirements.
Conduct regular system audits to identify vulnerabilities and implement remediation strategies.
Collaborate with IT and security teams to enhance the company's security infrastructure and incident response capabilities.
Provide expert guidance and support during the investigation and resolution of security breaches.
Lead the development and delivery of security awareness training programs to educate employees on cybersecurity best practices and threat awareness.
Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, threats, and mitigation techniques.
Generate regular reports for IT management on the status of the cybersecurity environment.
Education and Experience
While a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field is appreciated, we place a high value on practical, hands-on experience. Candidates with significant industry experience who demonstrate a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and a proven track record in security tool administration will be considered even if they do not hold a formal degree.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT security administration or a related role.
Proficiency in threat intelligence and the ability to analyze and interpret data from various cybersecurity platforms and sources.
Strong understanding of network protocols, architecture, and security-related technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), intrusion prevention systems (IPS), and VPNs.
Familiarity with cloud security principles and experience securing cloud-based environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Ability to create and maintain comprehensive documentation for security systems, procedures, and incident response plans.
Experience with scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash) to automate tasks and analyze data.
Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements relevant to cybersecurity, such as GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and SOX.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Strong incident response and crisis management skills.
Experience with forensic analysis tools and techniques for investigating and mitigating cyber incidents.
Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and staying ahead of the cybersecurity curve.
Excellent decision-making skills with the ability to weigh the relative costs and benefits of potential actions and identify the most appropriate one.
Ability to collaborate effectively with other departments to promote a culture of cybersecurity throughout the organization.
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development and training to keep skills current and relevant.
