Lead Patient Escort’s Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive orientation and ongoing training to contingency patient escorts, ensuring everyone is well-prepared for their roles.
Demonstrate the ability to transport patients and specimens safely and promptly, adhering to all relevant protocols and procedures.
Maintain a working knowledge of all equipment needed to transport patients, ensuring it is used correctly and effectively.
Encourage collaboration and seek input from all team members; foster a supportive and inclusive team environment.

Lead Patient Escort’s Qualifications

A High School Diploma or GED is required.
Two (2) years of patient transportation, healthcare, or hospitality experience; at least 1 lead or training previous role is highly preferred.
CPR and Heart Saver with Automated External Defibrillator Certifications are required.
The ability to push at least 250 lbs. via wheelchair is required.
The ability to navigate the facility independently, good communication skills, and a great demeanor are required.
