JOB PURPOSE ORA is looking for a dynamic, flexible, and motivated individual to perform cross-functional work across sponsored projects and subrecipient monitoring. The Sponsored Projects Analyst will support subrecipient compliance activities, such as entity risk analysis, reviewing Single Audits and financial statements, evaluating adherence to internal procedures related to subaward activities. This position will engage in data collection and review for various reporting requirements related to subawards and collaborations, requiring focused attention to detail. The position will also serve as a back-up to other core functions, including the subaward monitoring process. As part of a service-driven organization, ORA is looking for Contract & Grant Associates who approach learning and problem solving with enthusiasm, who are organized and focused to manage a significant workload, who adapt easily to changing situations and views new opportunities as creative challenges.
The Office of Research Administration (ORA) provides pre-award and post-award administrative services for sponsored projects for the University. In addition, ORA works in close collaboration with a number of partner groups in other central and school offices to help ensure the overall effective coordination of research administration services, systems, policies, and processes.
CORE DUTIES*:
Secure and analyze information related to new sponsors and collaborators, including elements such as hierarchy, entity type, and financial status.
Collect, review and analyze data for standard and adhoc reporting related to subawards and collaborations.
Support subrecipient monitoring process through financial reviews, risk assessments, desk reviews, and other compliance reviews as needed.
Manage the subaward requisition intake process; review requisitions for accuracy and completion.
Maintain working knowledge of sponsored projects lifecycle and research administration concepts and regulations.
Resolve problems arising in the course of daily work; consult with subrecipients, collaborators, department administrators, principal investigators and staff as needed.
Partner with Contract & Grant Associates/Officers to deliver excellent client services to Stanford faculty and research administration community.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree and one year of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience.

This role is open to candidates anywhere in the United States. Stanford University has five Regional Pay Structures. The compensation for this position will be based on the location of the successful candidate.
The expected pay range for this position is $57,000 to $75,000 per annum for remote positions.
The expected pay range for this position is $74,000 to $87,000 per annum for on-site/hybrid positions.
