The Program Manager is responsible for driving the successful delivery of cross-functional projects on time, on budget, and with adherence to quality standards in support of company objectives. They will manage issues and risks effectively and ensure customer satisfaction through the consistent use of project management methodology. The successful candidate will be an experienced engineer with prior program/project management experience within an engineering/new product development capacity.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Collaborates and facilitates across departments (i.e. Product Management, Marketing, Engineering, Finance, and Operations) to achieve a common goal.
- Guides the project team through the stage gate process throughout the project’s life cycle.
- Manages scope, timelines, budgets, and communications for projects and programs inside of New Product Development.
- Establishes and maintains overall project schedules utilizing critical path, standard project plans, and works proactively to identify and resolve timing concerns to deliver according to the business need.
- Removes obstacles that prevent the project team from achieving desired outcomes, including scope change requests and cost challenges.
- Ensures project team has necessary tools to be successful at executing per the project plan.
- Identifies opportunities for improvement with any new project, utilizing warranty feedback, labor reporting, safety statistics, and material cost.
- Organizes and participates in project post mortem for business results analysis (say/do), as well as identification of what went well, improvements for future projects, and/or items for incorporation into future product designs.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Understanding and experience with Planview project management software, or similar software preferred
- Knowledge of project management techniques and tools
- Knowledge of NPD methodology and tools
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coordinate, and manage projects
- Possesses and displays excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to convey information in a clear, focused and concise manner
- Ability to present technical information in business-friendly and user-friendly language and effectively communicate within all levels of the organization
- Ability to shift priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- 5 years’ experience in a project/program management capacity
- Bachelor's Degree Engineering is required
