Title of Position: Director of Purchasing & Supply Chain Responsibilities:
The Director of Purchasing & Supply Chain identifies process bottlenecks and implements timely, effective solutions.
The Director of Purchasing & Supply Chain manages inventory with established controls to achieve optimal performance based on key metrics, minimizing supply chain risks, as part of their duties.
The Director of Purchasing & Supply Chain will participate in both existing and new product planning processes to ensure timely acquisition of materials for product launches; develops strategies, policies, and procedures to maximize operational value.
Leads negotiations for major contracts and manages departmental budgets; establishes annual goals and objectives aligned with corporate objectives, including stretch targets.
Collaborates with Operations, Marketing, and Sales teams on essential projects to ensure alignment and efficiency.
Leads and mentors team members in maintaining high standards of quality control and safety; continuously improves supplier programs.
Determines key supply chain KPIs and provides constructive feedback to drive performance improvements.
The Director of Purchasing & Supply Chain must build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure reliable supply chain partnerships.
Ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements and ethical standards related to procurement practices.

Qualifications:
The Director of Purchasing & Supply Chain will have a robust background with at least 10 years of experience in supply chain management
Deep knowledge of supply chain best practices is a must for the Director of Purchasing & Supply Chain, including procurement, logistics, inventory control, and demand forecasting
The Director of Purchasing & Supply Chain will have exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of making informed decisions based on comprehensive data analysis
Strong communication abilities, facilitating effective collaboration across all levels of the organization and with external partners is a necessity of the Director of Purchasing & Supply Chain
The Director of Purchasing & Supply Chain will be technologically savvy, particularly with supply chain management software, to drive modernization and efficiency
