General Summary
Position will be responsible for primarily directing Snacks Pilot Plant manufacturing activities. Duties will include, but not limited to providing a safe work environment; ensuring all production activities meet or exceed regulatory and corporate quality standards; and directing the execution of plant manufacturing to assure timely execution of R&D requirements and any additional duties as assigned.
This individual must be knowledgeable of OSHA, USDA and FDA regulations pertaining to the Pilot Plant and R&D Facilities. Possess a strategic mindset in keeping the Pilot Plant in-step with demands from multiple business organizations while insuring efficient and precise plant execution. Candidate must be able to communicate and manage expectations up and down the chain of command to effectively utilize plant resources to meet daily objectives Key responsibilities include supporting the team with goal and objective setting, employee development, and holding the team accountable.
Minimum Requirements:
- Associates degree
- 5 years' experience working in food manufacturing companies
- 2 years' experience as a people manager
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Progressive experience in manufacturing operations
- Effective influencing, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to accomplish goals through others
- Baking and thermal processing knowledge, execution of recipe-based manufacturing
- Project management skills and ability to muti-task
- Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking
Principal Accountabilities
50%- Direct daily manufacturing activities of 3-10 employees ensuring schedules, protocols, and
execution in meeting customer requirements
20%- Support continuous improvement processes and implement improvement opportunities increasing efficiency of operations
15%- Lead and support execution of GMP, pest control, sanitation, and HACCP systems
10%- Insure safe work environment and employee accountabilities for working safely
5% - Support individual development of production employees and related training activities
Job Complexity
- Working with the Operations Manager, determines and directs plant production team with execution
methodologies for plant operations. Project execution includes consumer products, special batches, test
preparation, and ingredient preparation.
- Identify and build recommendations for continuous improvement of plant operations and team culture and
Lead/assist with implementation through broader team.
- Drive executional excellence of R&D Operations team through broad participation in plant and kitchen
executions, gathering continuous feedback on delivered results and meeting customer expectations.
- Leverage extensive understanding of FDA, USDA and CSC compliance programs and execute with right-the
-first-time results documentation and communications
- Contributes to hire/fire decisions
- Review HACCP and other quality programs and documentation for accuracy, content, and comprehensiveness

Compensation and Benefits:
The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between
$61,800-$97,800
Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
