Job Description:
RESPONSIBILITIES
Title IX Compliance :
Develop, implement, and update policies and procedures related to the rights and accommodations of pregnant and parenting students
Provide training and educational sessions for faculty, staff, and students about the rights of pregnant and parenting students under Title IX.
Promote awareness of the resources and support available to pregnant and parenting students.
Serve as a point of contact for pregnant and parenting students needing assistance or accommodations.
Advocate for the needs and rights of these students within the institution
Handle requests for accommodations from pregnant and parenting students, such as adjustments to academic schedules, excused absences, and access to lactation spaces.
Case Management and Coordination:
Conduct complaint intake meetings
Assist in the resolution of complaints or issues related to discrimination or harassment
Conduct investigations, if necessary, into complaints of discrimination or non-compliance issues.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of reports, investigations, and outcomes
Administrative Duties:
Assist in drafting, reviewing, and editing legal documents and contracts.
Organize and maintain legal files and records, ensuring they are up-to-date and easily accessible.
Manage the document signature process and track document status
Serve as an administrator and trainer for the University case management and mandatory training softwares.
Manage and maintains records of University mandatory trainings
Serve as assistant to General Counsel and Compliance Officer; processing confidential information, attending and taking minutes for meetings; managing the their calendars; maintaining a professional environment in the office through the use of effective telephone skills.
Assist in general office administrative procedures and processes including but not limited to: tracking administrative deadlines and schedules; maintaining financial records in Workday, assistance in purchasing, room reservations, logistics
Maintain records for communication between other departments regarding planning and scheduling. Attend and take minutes at appropriate meetings
Assist in maintaining information regarding Compliance on the University web pages
Support and Advocacy:
In collaboration with Student Life and Formation, Faculty, Human Resources, Associated Student Body, and Student Clubs and Organizations, develop training programs and educational materials for students, staff, and faculty related to University compliance as well as awareness and prevention of sexual misconduct.
Facilitate access to community and University resources to individuals involved in discrimination and harassment cases.
Research and Analysis:
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor degree is preferred.
Experience in legal field, student conduct, and investigative services preferred
Experience in delivering training and educational sessions
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, maintain an organized workspace,and keep records in order.
Proficient in prioritizing tasks and managing time to effectively meet deadlines.
Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills combined with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and students having a range of backgrounds, interests, and perspectives.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace/Drive
Meticulous in reviewing documents, entering data, and handling various administrative tasks to ensure accuracy.
Ability to provide excellent service to internal and external clients, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
