Overview
The Financial Analyst will support financial decision-making processes within the organization. This position involves analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and assisting in forecasting and budgeting activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent attention to detail, and a solid foundation in finance. Candidate should be available to work from the Lake Success office most days, with the potential to shift to a hybrid schedule over time.
Responsibilities
Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
Assist in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts, providing insights and recommendations to management
Collect and organize financial data from various sources, ensuring data accuracy and completeness
Analyze budget-to-actual variances and provide explanations for discrepancies, helping management understand financial performance
Build and maintain financial models to support scenario analysis, investment decisions, and strategic planning
Assist with special financial projects and ad hoc analysis as required by management
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
Understanding of financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement) and financial ratios
Excellent Excel skills, ability to create basic PowerPoint presentations
Experience working with CRM systems, and other financial planning software preferred but not required
Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn
Excellent oral and written communication skills
