The Nurse Manager Inpatient Oncology Services will work alongside world-class providers and specialists all focused on delivering exceptional, quality care to patients throughout Maryland, Virginia, Washington DC and parts of Delaware.
Reporting to the Senior Director, the Nurse Manager Inpatient Oncology Services will oversee a 30+ bed inpatient oncology unit. Responsibilities of the Nurse Manager Inpatient Oncology Services include managing day-to-day operations of the unit, ensuring regulatory compliance, updating policy procedures, preparing for accreditation and surveys, monitoring the unit budget, and assisting the Nurse Educator to develop new-hire and current employee education programs. With a go-getter, positive attitude, the Inpatient Oncology Services Nursing Manager will be the department resource who is excited to mentor teams, educate individuals on best practices and techniques, a strong communicator working with multidisciplinary teams, and an advocate to their team, patients and patient families.
Ideally, the Inpatient Nurse Manager Oncology should hold their active RN license, a clinical background working with oncology patients within an inpatient acute care setting, along with previous leadership experience.
