The Funding Research Assistant at the Children's Community School (CCS) provides support to help further advance the school's development office's research for accurately identified potential donors. Location: Children's Community School 23 John Street Waterbury, CT - Supervisor Sue Mellitt Rate of Pay: $18 - $20 per hour. This is 2024-2025 school year opportunity. Essential Duties and Responsibilities . Children's Community School, through the assistance of Post University, would welcome a student who is majoring in Public Administration, Marketing, Research, or a Business Major who can assist our school in researching and identifying the Foundations in line with our Mission that help fund educational institutions, child welfare agencies or other programs that assist with children's mental health outreach or their physical growth and well-being. Although several methods are already in place to research these potential funders, a Post University Work Study participant may be able to bring their energy, an observer's viewpoint, and a distinct academic specialty that will help CCS identify regional, statewide or national Corporate, Government or Private Foundations who may have a similar goal as Children's Community School. This opportunity may allow CCS to narrow down the large, but often unrelated prospects who would increase our odds of attracting and ensure the time required to apply is spent on a more favorable outcome. Minimum Skills, Training, and Attributes. Must be a current Post University student. Student majoring in Public Administration, Marketing, Research, or a Business Major. What will also be encouraged is the research that may reveal connections to new funding sources that we currently have not identified as educational or mental health initiatives.
