Participates in overall product outcome associated with Sheeter Department
Interprets and documents standards related to product performance/quality
Assists in the maintenance and set up of equipment for customer product
Job Functions:
- Must be able to operate and be familiar with the sheetfed print requirements.
- Must be able to direct Roll Tender in daily tasks to achieve department goals.
- Must keep Department Manager and Department lead informed of Safety, Quality, or Production issues or improvement opportunities
- Must be able to handle re-stacking stock
- Must become familiar with technical aspects of Sheeter and be able to troubleshoot if needed.
- Must be able to assist with CI sorting.
- Must be familiar with SAP.
- Must be able to work towards achieving department goals.
- Performs other organizational duties as required.
- Must take direction from Shift Supervisor.
- Directly involved in responsibilities / actions related to all Food Safety Programs.
- All other duties as assigned
Job Specifications:
- Knowledge-H.S. Education or equivalent, make-ready operations, computer literate.
- Able to use SAP systems.
- Skills-Mechanical, communication.
- Abilities-Good attendance, guide teams/processes, ability to work alone
Physical Requirements:
- Duties require standing (except breaks and lunch) with upper/lower body movement throughout working shift for 8 to 12 hours.
- Visual acuity at short distances.
- Bilateral reaching overhead to splice rolls, feed sheets and operator controls.
- The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms.
- Color vision needed to detect inappropriate color of product.
- Good eye/hand coordination to keep speed with the pace of the machine.
- Pushing rolls to rotate the roll while on the machine.
- Able to lift 25-35 lb. boxes continuously and 50 lbs. occasionally to cover Palletizer position.
- Occasional climbing, stooping, bending and overhead reaching.
- Fine hand manipulation.
- Grasping and gripping.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
- Personal Protective Equipment is required
