The Position
Within our Global Procurement department - Facilities & Engineering Network, we are looking for a Delivery/Project Procurement Manager to support the procurement of engineering, planning, civil engineering, architecture, MEP design, Construction Management \ General Contractor, and other related services to support the execution of a portfolio of large facility investments (new buildings) at the Genentech South San Francisco site. You will work independently and in close contact with our Global Delivery and Customer Excellence Managers, local and regional suppliers, and Engineering project teams.
You will independently handle project procurement activities in the areas of engineering, planning, building construction, civil engineering services, production systems, and automation services in coordination and collaboration with the engineering project team
You will advise the internal stakeholders on capital investment execution models, commercial strategies, and contracting forms
Together with the project teams and/or technical departments, you will independently carry out supplier discussions/bidder discussions
Together with engineering, you will negotiate work contracts with suppliers/bidders on your responsibility based on specified work contract drafts
You advise the engineering/project teams on commercial issues, including claims managemen t.
You bring the following capabilities, mindset, and behaviors:
Skills
You hold a university degree, with a business or an engineering degree preferable. You also have 15+ years of experience in procuring large capital investment projects (USD 100M+)
Knowledgeable in procurement systems and operational processes
Knowledge of various project execution models, IPD is a plus
Experience in Building Construction / Construction Project Management
Demonstrated overall project management skills

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California is $130,100 - $241,500. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
