Job Responsibilities

• The Associate Director will advise Wharton undergraduates and alumni regarding all facets of career development, exploration, and employment-related activities through individual career advising appointments, mock interviews and the review of application materials like resumes and cover letters
• Create dynamic, topical workshops, speaker panels, programs and events (virtual and in- person) and present to student organizations and in classrooms
• Develop content for office website and communicate effectively to students by keeping up-to-date on relevant industry trends, career resources, and tools
• Manage Meet an MBA program for all undergraduates to connect and learn from MBA students
• Contribute to planning and management of career fairs
• Establish effective relationships with recruiters, hiring managers and alumni with potential for hiring Wharton undergraduate students and alumni
• Collaborate closely and serve on interoffice and internal committees with administrators across the University, student services, and student organizations on program planning and implementation. Some examples of committees within the office include: international students, FGLI (first-generation low income) students, social media, branding, peer career advising, summer funding, and more
• Actively participate in the collection and outreach of summer and post-graduate outcomes data
• Develop effective communication strategies to target Wharton undergraduate population and distribute relevant content through various channels including social media and the Career Services website
• Collaborate with the Wharton Undergraduate Division on special programs and initiatives designed to enhance students’ career readiness
• Represent the office at professional meetings and participate in continued professional development
• Opportunity to supervise and train a Graduate Assistant to assist in providing career services to undergraduate students

Qualifications

Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, and 3 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Master's degree preferred.
