The Retail Business Scientist I will affect OTC business strategies and outcomes through the creation and development of high visibility and high impact analytics models. Moving beyond the "what'' to answering the "why". This role will work with cross-functional and cross-prganizational teams to understand business processes/needs, conduct strategic assessments; and will.be responsible for the design, developments, implementation, and maintenance of analytical solutions in support of the retail division. Additionally, this role will mentor junior team members in best practices, stand rds and model development.

- Drive strategic insights by mining data to uncover trends and patterns that support larger business objectives
- Proactiveness in exploring complex data, systems, and tools whilst working collaboratively across teams in driving projects forward
- Preform ad-hoc and reoccurring statistical analyses; explanatory, hindsight, forecast ML models
- Develop and modify reports, verify data integrity and design Bl dashboards, scorecards, charts/graphs, drill-downs, and dynamic reports to provide a precise view of business performance or meet new information needs
- Monitor and provide visibility into business performance and market trends to spot strengths or opportunities
- Create and present of strategic insights and actions that drive business goals
- Demonstrate innovation, initiative, and curiosity through ML R&D
- Support peers and stakeholders as a subject matter expert through troubleshooting and analysis of results.
- Work with enterprise partners to generate seamless analytics solutions for the organization
- Document business process and execute on project timelines

JOB REQUIREMENTS-
- Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, economics, or relevant working experience
- Passion for using data to uncover insights and drive business performance
- 1-2 years of experience in an analytical/ML environment (academic or industry)
- Familiarity with data visualization/Bl platforms i.e. Tableau, Power Bl, MicroStrategy
- Foundational SQL knowledge
- Demonstrated proficiency in synthesizing sophisticated analysis into simple, meaningful, and measurable insights for leadership consumption whilst building tools for practical applications
- Hands on Python/R expt:!rience, and familiarity with machine learning and data science libraries (e.g., scikit learn, pandas, matplotlib, seaborn, tidyverse, etc.)
- Understanding of database architecture
- Understanding of taking large volumes of data and condensing it into a clean, insightful, and automated format
- Attention to detail to ensure the highest level of quality/rigor in reports and analyses
- Highly flexible, with the ability to execute well in a fast-paced, growth driven organization.
- Proficient in MS Office suite, Excel and Word
