The Pharmacy Porter is essential to our success including working with the Central Refill Center Team located in our Gardena, CA facility. In this role, you will work with internal staff including AHF Pharmacy and Facilities Team and Property Management to ensure that the physical plant, equipment and storage units are maintained in a neat, clean and organized condition, through the shift.
The Pharmacy Porter contributes to AHF’s mission by presenting a friendly smile, a helpful voice, a helpful attitude, to the internal customers of the AHF Pharmacies and the Central Refill Operations (CRO) team members. You are right arm of the CRO team and will provide feedback to them on how service can be improved to enhance the overall contribution of the success of AHF.
Your duties include but are not limited too:
Maintaining a neat and clean personal appearance, leaving assigned work area in a neat orderily condition and ready for the next shift
Must keep a well-maintained plant, equipment, storage areas and co-lated areas clean, free of debris, supplies in stock and organized
Ability to problem solve and provide a “helping hand” to team members
Proactively assisting team members to solve various issues and problems related to meeting deadlines and providing accurate and timely service
Understanding of HIPAA and AHF Standards for confidentiality, client anonymity, along with the AHF Pharmacy Compliance policy and procedures, assures our patients and clients that AHF Pharmacy is a trusted partners in their overall care and quality of life
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
High School diploma with 1-2 years of relevant steady work experience
Basic skills to calculate figures and amounts that may be appropriate for ordering and maintaining par levels for supplies and other consumable items
Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with quality customer service
Bi-lingual in English and Spanish highly desirable
Ablility to adapt to various situations with ease and by being flexible
