The Role
The Supply Chain Manager: Federal Warehouse Operations, manages the Lumen warehouse operations in Herndon, Virginia. The selected candidate must work onsite, managing federal and company owned materials. The candidate must also have an advanced working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and customer requirements, both internally and externally. This position is responsible for developing and implementing processes and procedures that ensure compliant warehouse operations while meeting the needs of all customers and the requirements of the Property Management Plan. Additionally, the candidate must have proven experience developing partnerships with stakeholders, as the operation requires daily collaboration with other functions.
The Main Responsibilities
- Capable of reading and completing tasks with details
- Manage existing team of warehouse personnel and interview/hire qualified applicants as necessary
- Ensure set productivity targets are met
- Support customer request and work in cooperation with project managers, engineers, vendors, techs, and management regarding warehouse operations and inventory
- Ensures database and paperwork are maintained and accurate for receiving, shipping, and inventory.
- Ensure regulations and requirements of the Property Management Plan are adhered to for handling any government property in the facility
- Maintains standards of health, safety and security in the warehouse work environment
- Shipping, receiving, tracking, documenting and (bonus if can provide) forklift certifications
- Ability to create and support a teamwork approach to the job
- Coopertion: Working within Supply Chain Management (SCM) while supporting Federal, Customers, and Property team objectives
- Provide reports to various internal customers and departments
- Support/provide time sensitive information for RF(x) proposals
- Capable of supporting customer confidentiality both internally and externally
- Working knowledge of RF scanning, automated inventory, and barcode systems
- Advanced working knowledge of general receiving process(es)
- Prior experience in using SAP system (would be an advantage)
- Working knowledge of inventory cycle counts
- Capable of leading teams in routine tasks
- Can operate various material lifts (forklifts, waves, and automated pallet jacks, etc)
- Capable of standing all day
- Can load and unload pallets
- Able to lift 50-75 pounds (safe lifting practices and working with teams)
- Some travel may be required (< 25% annually)

Compensation
The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee"s primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual"s qualifications.
Location Based Pay Ranges
$109,330 - $145,770 in these states: VA
As with the pay range variety that"s based on the region of a country, specific offers are determined by various factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications and other business needs.
