Position Responsibilities:

- Assumes leadership of new projects, from conceptualization to deployment
- Ensures application performance, uptime, and scale, and maintain high standards for code quality and application design.
- Architects and provides guidance on building end-to-end systems optimized for speed and scale.
- Engages with designers and front-end engineers and collaborate with leading back-end engineers to create reliable APIs.
- Collaborates across time zones via Teams, Mattermost, GitHub, documents, and frequent videoconferences.
- Influences, innovates, and continuously improves the software engineering process as well as quality, safety and reliability of products and services provided by Boeing.
- Collaborates proactively with customers, stakeholders, peers and direct reports to understand operational and performance expectations.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 5+ years of experience developing software products in a cloud environment
- 5+ years of experience writing software for data services
- 5+ years of experience in full-stack software development
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Development experience with a modern JavaScript-based web application front end framework such as React, Vue, or Angular.
- 5+ years of experience with web applications and hand-writing code for programming languages such as HTML, CSS, Javascript, and PERL
- 5+ years of experience with web service integrations (REST/SOAP APIs).
- 5+ years of experience with Kubernetes, Docker containers, and Ansible
- Experience communicating, collaborating, and building consensus with internal and external stakeholders.
- 1+ years’ experience leading a software development project or team.
Typical Education / Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.).
