As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in our flawless dining experience at Stony Brook University.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with the culinary team to resolve menu items and efficiently implement them
- Training and developing a team of chefs who demonstrate outstanding culinary skills to compete at the highest level.
- Ensuring strict adherence to food safety and sanitation regulations
- Coordinating food production and ensuring all dishes meet our world-class standards
- Assisting in menu development and maintaining a high level of creativity
- Managing inventory and controlling food costs
Qualifications:
- A consistent track record of culinary excellence and leadership
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- At least 2 years of culinary management experience in a high-volume location
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, fast paced environment
- Servsafe certification
- Desire to grow
