Overview CORT Tradeshow and Events is hiring immediately for a full-time Operations Manager in Houston, TX! CORT provides furniture rental solutions to trade shows and events including festivals, weddings, corporate events, or even the Superbowl! The Operations Manager oversees labor, inventory, transportation, warehousing, and safety. This is an onsite position performed from the CORT distribution centers and event venues that CORT delivers to. Pay: Starting at $65,000 / year. Schedule: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some nights and weekends, is required. Maintains a culture where everyone in the facility is knowledgeable of safe work practices and committed to following safe work practices. Shipping and receiving for product transfers between CORT locations across the nation Understanding of P&L/Budgeting/Forecasting Management of driver, warehouse, and temporary staff (Hire, Train, Coach, Mentor, Team Building, Performance Management) Build customer relationships to help achieve growth and drive decisions to ensure customer relationships are successful. Oversees deliveries on event sites as needed Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required 3-5 years management experience in operations or distribution environment Knowledge of DOT regulations Prior experience in tradeshow or events operations is a plus A valid state driver’s license and safe driving record. Physically able and willing to move furniture indoors, outdoors, up or down stairs and in all weather conditions; ability to lift 100+ pounds with a partner Must be at least 21 years of age Willing to work flexible hours including nights and weekends Must pass drug screening, background checks and MVR checks (if applicable) as a condition of employment.
