PROMOTIONAL OPPORTUNITIES!
Incumbents in the class of Automated Systems Analyst Trainee are eligible for promotion to Automated Systems Analyst I (Up to $87,027.20 Annually) upon meeting the minimum qualifications for that class and attainment of a satisfactory work progress report. Incumbent must qualify for promotion to Automated Systems Analyst I within 24 months or be terminated.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Pre-Employment Process:Applicants must successfully pass a background check and a job-related physical exam, including a drug test, prior to employment.
Availability:Some positions require availability for night, swing, weekend, holiday, and on-call shifts. Indicate availability on application.

Minimum Requirements
OPTION 1
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Six (6) months of technical experience within the last two (2) years supporting, administering and maintaining Microsoft desktops and/or servers, department software applications, and network infrastructure in a professionally administered network.
-AND-
REQUIRED EDUCATION*: Thirty (30) semester (45 quarter) units of completed coursework from an accredited college, university or technical school in Information Technology, Business/Public Administration, or a closely related field-OR- completion of at least one fundamental Microsoft Certification; Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) certification; or CompTIA certification (A+, N+ or S+).
Education Substitution for Option 1:One (1) additional year of qualifying experience may substitute for the required education.
OPTION 2 Current PSE/WEX/Intern** for San Bernardino County performing related duties as qualifying experience AND an associate degree or higher in computer science, information technology, or a closely related field (or equivalent coursework*).
*A list of relevant coursework MUST be included in Supplemental Questionnaire response, unless a degree has been conferred in an applicable field of study. A copy of the qualifying certification MUST be attached to the application for consideration.
