Castleton Commodities International (“CCI”) is hiring an Associate, Product Control Analyst to join the Merchant Product Control team in our Stamford, CT (or Houston, TX) office. This role will be part of a four-person team and report directly to the Merchant Product Controller.

This role will involve day to day interaction with various functional areas within CCI (e.g., Trading, Scheduling, Settlements, Risk, Treasury, and Tax).
Responsibilities:
Prepare balance sheet and income statement reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Prepare detailed analysis and commentary on financial reports.
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and yearly close processes.
Standardize and streamline processes through automation tools.
Identfiy control or reporting issues, propose process improvement ideas, and coordinate resolution in an accurate and timely manner.
Collaborate closely with Trading, Scheduling, Settlements, Risk, Treasury, and Tax departments on new business initiatives, key business transformation projects, and various ad-hoc business requests.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
1+ years’ experience will be considered along with new graduates.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail including a strong control focus.
Excellent communication skills and ability to develop lasting working relationships.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
Strong preference will be shown to candidates with SQL, Python, Alteryx or Tableau knowledge.
