The Senior Manager, Cell Therapy Instrumentation will lead a product management team that is passionate about developing and driving a multi-generation product portfolio strategy to commercialize instrument solutions that support the development and manufacturing of cell therapies.
What you will do:
- Lead the development and execution of a multigenerational product portfolio strategy through coordination with cross functional teams within a matrixed organization.
- Analyze organizational readiness to implement strategy and work with sales, manufacturing, quality, regulatory, operations, and logistics partners to ensure an extraordinary customer experience.
- Lead a product management team that supports entire product life cycle:
- Build, lead, and supervise business plans & product road maps for existing products.
- Establish product positioning recommendations and work with marketing development functions to develop and implement product strategies.
- Drive growth of product portfolio through direct and indirect customer interactions.
- Conduct and present comprehensive internal and external product training.
- Ensure appropriate technical support for sales and field applications teams, including assistance with communicating and positioning products, product demos and service solutions.
- Assess inorganic opportunities to accelerate strategy execution.
- Analyze, interpret, and report out to executive leadership regularly on sales forecasts, programs, market and channel trends and competition.
How will you get here:
Education
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in life science or engineering. Advanced degree(s) and/or MBA preferred.
Experience
- 7+ years of relevant product management experience including the development and commercialization of life sciences or medical device instrumentation.
- 5+ years of experience in team leadership
- Experience in developing instrumentation for regulated markets.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross functional teams.
- Consistent track record of crafting a premier customer experience.
- Broad technical understanding consistent with the life sciences/cell therapy market.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Knowledge of standard processes for instrumentation and consumables development.
- Knowledge of the existing and emerging cell therapy market, and familiarity with Thermo Fisher Scientific’s life sciences products a plus.
- Validated relationship building skills in a multinational/multicultural environment.
- Global mentality and strategic agility.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of time.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $143,000.00–$195,000.00.
