Responsibilities
Assist with patient/family care needs from admission to discharge.
Monitor patient on Q15 min. observations including (Q5 LOS and 1:1 obs.)
Accurately monitor and record patient VS and intake and output and daily activities including patio breaks.
Assist Nurses with patient care to include Groups Activities of daily living as needed
Must be able to effectively communicate with patients in crisis situations and assist RNs with restraining patients
Assist in maintaining adequate stocks and supplies items
Assist with cleaning functions to maintain unit
Keep medical record updated including legal requirements
Documents according to policy and procedure standards and guidelines
Qualifications
High School Graduate or equivalent required
Minimum of one (1) year mental health worker experience working with psychiatric patients either in an inpatient or residential setting required.
Current AHA BLS card.
Must maintain current Fire Safety cards. .
CNA or EMT Preferred
