YOU
As the Director of Sales, you will provide leadership and direction to the entire branch sales team and selectively increase sales and profits to meet budget. You will be responsible for overseeing and driving sales results in the Southwest region covering southern California, Arizona, New Mexico, Las Vegas, and El Paso Texas.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (% of Time)

Lead, motivate and direct employees using effective performance management techniques, including establishing expectations and goals, providing recognition and feedback, and addressing performance problems. Coach, encourage, and develop employees according to their unique interests and strengths. Empower employees to take responsibility for their career and performance. Delegate responsibility and expect accountability and regular feedback. Foster a spirit of teamwork and unity among department members and the organization. (30%)
Plan periodic management review meetings with major customers. Monitor and review all special pricing programs. (15%)
Provide sales training and observation. Plan and direct sales meetings. Attend and contribute to weekly and quarterly management meetings. (5%)
Determine sales commissions and related compensation plans. Review and approve sales expenditures as well as establish and manage overall budget. (5%)
Plan and execute promotions for the sales department. Oversee staffing and administer all performance related issues for the sales team. (5%)
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- 5-7 years related experience and/or training.
- 5 years managing others.
- Speaking: ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
- Writing: Ability to write in a clear, concise, organized and convincing manner for the intended audience and ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.

This job operates in both a professional office environment, customer sites and outdoor construction job sites. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers/scanners, etc. The employee occasionally works around moving mechanical parts. Noise level may be loud at times.
TRAVEL REQUIRED
This job requires domestic/international travel approximately 60% of the time.
WORK STATUS & LOCATION
This full-time, exempt position is located in Riverside, CA.

Relocation will be considered for this position.
Pay
$146,200.00 - $248,500.00 / Year
