Job Description
Scope:
A Soldermask Operator will perform all processes in the department including: Pre-clean panel, operating the machine that coats the panels with soldermask ink, operating screen printing press table to print legend ink, operating oven to tack-cure soldermask, operating oven to thermal cure legend ink, and perform all necessary quality and process checks, daily housekeeping, minor preventative maintenance. Will be exposed to hazardous waste while performing daily job duties. Operators will undergo Chemical Handling training prior to the start of performing these duties and will actively participate in ongoing hazardous waste and chemical handling training.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret shop traveler to verify WO number, panel quantity, and previous operation were completed
- Read and interpret document instruction carefully and correctly
- Operate the machine that scrubs or cleans the panel
- Operate the machine that coats the panel with LPI mask including start up, set up, process check, quality check, shut down, cleaning, and minor preventative maintenance
- Operate tack cure oven including start-up, set-up, quality check, shut down, and cleaning
- Set up the screen for screen print process including apply emulsion on the screen, expose, develop, inspect screen image, and dry bake the screen
- Operate the screen printing press table to apply legend ink, peelable mask, including start-up, set-up, quality check, break down, cleaning
- Operate the oven to cure the panel including start up, set up, quality check, shut down and cleaning
- Prepare Soldermask ink including set-up, break-down, process check, and cleaning
- Follow all departmental process procedures correctly and respectively
- Complete all departmental documentation accurately including traveler
- Inform Supervisor, or Process Engineer any discrepancies found in material, product, or equipment Perform other tasks as assigned by management
- Follow all safety measures when handling chemicals and hazardous waste with regard to use, mixing and disposing chemicals.
- TTM may periodically schedule additional hours or weekend hours in order to meet the Company’s business needs. Overtime availability required.
Essential Knowledge and Skills:
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English to the degree necessary to perform the job
- Must be able to stand throughout the shift, and lift up to 40 lbs. without straining
- Must be able to work with solvent
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.

Compensation ranges for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At TTM Technologies, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on each individual set of circumstances. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:
$38,241 - $60,446
Additional compensation: An annual or quarterly company bonus may apply based on position assignment. Positions hired for alternative shift may be eligible for a shift premium based on the assigned shift and location.
