Job Qualifications (minimum requirements):
• Strong experience with, and knowledge of in vitro pharmacological cell-based assays.
• Working knowledge of neuroscience, in vitro biochemical and molecular assays.
• Extremely organized with documentation of experimental plans, timelines, and technical reports.
• Experience contributing to technical reports and regulatory documents is an advantage.
• Understanding of standard statistical analysis of scientific data using data software tools.
• Detailed oriented and precise in written and oral communication.
• Effective problem-solving skills.
• Ability to critically analyze data and lead teams to solve issues and make best strategic decisions.
• Highly collaborative, team-oriented, and considerate of the needs of others.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with diverse groups within the organization.

Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education with typically 5 years of experience, or master’s degree or equivalent education with typically two years of experience in biology, biochemistry, molecular/cellular biology, or other related discipline.
• Strong knowledge and technical expertise in mammalian cell culture, iPSC-derived cell models, primary cell culture, western blotting, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), MSD, Luminex and RT-PCR.
• Strong skill in multiparameter flow cytometry and cell sorting is preferable.
• Experience with co-culture and organoid culture techniques highly preferred.
• Broad experience in developing, performing, and troubleshooting a wide variety of cell-based assays. Demonstrated ability to learn, understand and master new experimental techniques.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to work successfully in a cross-functional and highly collaborative team environment.
• The position requires ability to work in biosafety cabinets for extended periods of time, observe/record deviations from expected outcomes, accurate record keeping, and adhere to lab safety standards/protocols.
• Demonstrated scientific writing skills and strong verbal communication skills.
• Computer skills: working knowledge of MS-Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), graphing software (e.g., GraphPad prism) and basic understanding of statistical analyses is required.
