We are looking for a candidate with extensive experience in analog and digital circuit design, circuit analysis and simulation, wired and wireless transceivers and protocols, signal processing, circuit board technologies, and construction of electronic prototypes for a Full-Time position in our Cyber and Network Systems research group.
Work location may be in Red Bank, NJ or Basking Ridge, NJ.
The candidate will perform independently and as part of a team to:
Design small scale analog and digital circuits, including wired/wireless communications devices.
Provide support for existing products, including failure analysis, testing/debugging, upgrading circuit boards, and possible circuit redesign.
Support hardware analysis and toolchain instantiation for cybersecurity assessment of third party devices
Work with ASIC houses to develop custom ASIC and design circuit boards to integrate ASIC into system.
Work with mechanical designers to design and implement physical design of prototypes/systems.
Participate in field trials/demonstrations at customer locations.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD
Degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field
Analog circuit design, including transceiver analog front end design/analysis and power supply design.
Digital circuit design, including digital interfaces, logic design, and designing with embedded processors, FPGAs and memory devices.
Experience with schematic entry and circuit board design software, circuit board layout and circuit board technologies.
Experience with laboratory test equipment, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, etc.
Proficiency in software development and scripting, such as:
Python, C/C++, Matlab
Linux and Windows Operating Systems
Development Tools such as IDEs
Linux and Windows application development and scripting cababilities
Strong written and oral communication skills
US Citizenship
Desired Qualifications:
Knowledge of communication coding and modulation schemes and transceiver operation
Knowledge of 802.15.4 and MIL-STD-1553
Experience with Software-Defined Radios (SDR) and converting discrete transceiver designs into SDR implementations
Familiarity with Avionics Standards and Certification procedures, such as DO-254, DO-160 and DO-178
Familiarity with microcontroller debug interfaces such as JTAG, SWD, etc., including integrating, utilizing for debugging, and techniques for securing such interfaces.
Experience in virtualization of embedded systems firmware in technologies such as QEMU
Device and system level design, in addition to circuit board design, particularly devices based on common microcontrollers such as ARM, MSP430, etc.
Familiarity with techniques to secure firmware images, on-board storage, etc.
Familiarity with basic cybersecurity concepts and practices
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities

Target Salary Range
$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
