Job Abstract

Our Lady of Peace School is seeking a dynamic, engaging, creative 5th grade teacher. Entering students for this upcoming year are academically strong as a group. They are respectful, eager to learn, growth minded and faithful to their Catholicity. Class size is about 16 students. Our school is ethnically diverse and is rich in culture, especially Hispanic and Filipino traditions. Next year we are completing our self-study and will have our accreditation visit in February of 2025

We are seeking a fully credentialed teacher, preferably Catholic, who has expertise in the state common core standards, differentiation, and research based instructional strategies and lesson design. We are a literacy focused school. The teacher needs to be a “warm demander” academically, have excellent communication skills with parents and the desire to come to collaborate with co-teachers.

— BA degree, preferrably related to education
— CA teacher credential ( or already in process)
— At least 1 year of full time teacher experience
— Catholic preferred
— Virtus, CPR and fingerprinting already done is a plus, but can be done at time of hire
