We are seeking a contract research associate to join our team to help with performing immunoassays. You will work closely with our team of R&D scientists and engineers.
Key Responsibilities
Reports into R&D Science team within the new product development group, working closely with scientists and engineers
Laboratory work focused on setting up and performing immunoassays using automated Simple Western platform
Follow protocols and support experiments as defined by project team
Collaborate with team members to quickly analyze experimental data and interpret results
Present scientific results to project teams and in department meetings
Generate meaningful data to support product development and final product validation
Carry out troubleshooting activities under supervision
Assists in preparing large-scale samples and monitoring lab inventory and reagents
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Hands-on experience with immunoassays for protein detection is required. Examples include ELISA, western blot, MSD, Luminex.
Solid understanding of protein biology and immunoassays.
Must be proficient with standard laboratory skills (e.g., pipetting, lab safety, record keeping)
Strong technical and analytical skills, including identifying assay failures
Ability to quickly learn and apply new skills and procedures with flexibility to changing priorities
Experience with analytical instrumentation or automation is preferred
Strong attention to detail with ability to multi-task and be efficient
Excellent organization and communication skills, both verbally and in writing
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
Passion for science and contributing to development of innovative life sciences products
Education and Experience
Associate degree and 3-5 years of relevant experience in life science applications and/or industry
Or Bachelor’s degree in biochemistry, molecular biology, biotechnology or related scientific field
