Job Abstract
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs a variety of complex technical functions in support of the SSEE FoS such as design, test, checkout, modification, fabrication, and assembly of electronic systems
- Provides waterfront support to afloat cryptologic maintainers
- Performs system level software testing in order to validate operational readiness
- Performs in-depth system troubleshooting, software configuration support and recommends resolution on SSEE FoS
- Performs installation and verification tests on system upgrades and Equipment Changes (EC)
- Provides Onboard Technical Assistance (OBTA) underway in various AORs
- Performs inspection and testing of installed antennas and antenna lines
MINIMUM SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Knowledge of the Radio Frequency spectrum to include working with calibration and testing equipment (i.e. Time Domain Reflectometers, Spectrum Analyzers, Vector Network Analyzers, Signal Generators, Frequency Counters, Oscilloscopes, and Digital MultiMeters) and basic antenna troubleshooting
- Familiarity with WINDOWS (IOT, SHB, 10, 7), UNIX and LINUX (REDHAT 6.x and greater or CentOS 6.x and greater) operating systems
- Experience with operating in a Command Line Interface (CLI)
- Experience with shipboard/aircraft system installation
- Working knowledge of system administration
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI clearance
- CompTIA Security+ certification - must obtain within 6 months of hire
- Ability to travel 10-20% of the year
DESIRED SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
- General working knowledge in reference to the hardware installation, system configuration, system administration and maintenance of Ship Signal Exploitation Equipment (SSEE) such as SSEE INC E, INC F or SSEE MODs or Cryptologic Carry-On Program (CCOP) systems including, Hostile Forces Integrated Targeting Service (HITS), DRT, BLUESTREAM, CORSAIR, GALE, REDFALCON, TEALITE, QUICKSHOT, OFM or TURBULENTWAVE
- Fleet Electronic Support (FES) experience is a plus
SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT. THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE TOP SECRET / SCI LEVEL
